The NANO euphoria

It may be true that the NANO euphoria will further increase green-house gas emissions.. but, hell! greenhouse gas emissions are anyway on the rise thanks to the booming small-car industry. On a cost to mileage ratio, NANO beats most of the other small cars in production. So, from the point of view of economics, a rise in NANO sales will obviously lead to a considerable drop in sales of other small-cars. Therefore, it is still a ZERO SUM GAME.

Now that the NANO is already in production and its many versions are on the verge of hitting the Indian and foreign markets, what options does one have?

- Start a campaign against production of NANO?
A: Go ahead! no one is stopping you. On the downside, no one will follow you either. Hell! Who's jobless enough to chant "NO NANO! NO NANO!" day and night? (its a frigging tongue-twister!!!)

- Show the world that you are anti-NANO by not buying one?
A: The world may or may not notice.. If they do, they will no doubt consider your stance a great example for the world, and get on with life.

- OR go ahead and buy one?
A: A viable option considering its healthy mileage to cost ratio..
But, wait a minute!! Is that environmentally correct of us??? Are'nt we the ones with the supposed foresight that NANO is an environmental disaster and what not?

After so much reasoning, we are back to square one -

What is the solution to the NANO???
